| Tony Bassett - Manager Tony started work in the travel industry, directly from school in 1968. He began working for Lunn Poly in London seeing the emergence of the package holiday and charter flights, the transition from propeller to jet aeroplanes and the introduction of the Jumbo Jet! He served his apprenticeship in retail travel, moving to business travel, where he worked on accounts such as Esso Petroleum and Peat Marwick, the forerunner of KPMG. 1971, Tony moved to an independent travel agent in East London, as Manager. Here he developed a strong retail business, serving the local community with their holidays and travel requirements as well as specialising in the travel arrangements for a number of pop stars, these included The Kinks, Santana, Three Dog Night, Donovan and The Beach Boys. 1975, Tony joined Thomson Holidays as a Sales Representative, moving to Pickfords Travel in 1979 as a Regional Manager. 1981, Tony left the travel industry to join the emerging IT business, in the early days of the PC. With his travel background Tony soon became directed towards International Sales, International Sales Director and Vice President Europe, Africa and Middle East. Tony has now moved full circle, returning to the travel industry a little over a year ago. Tony’s passion is for Italy, particularly Tuscany, where his maternal grandfather came from. He has considerable knowledge of most European cities and countries as well as many beach resorts. He has travelled extensively around the USA, as well as Africa and the Middle East through his IT employment, also as a family man and as a single traveller. Tony enjoys cultural interest holidays with an emphasis on food, wine, art and music. |
| Jessica began her career in travel at the age of 20 with Thomas Cook Signature, a luxury, tailor made division of the company. Here she became a Arabian, Indian Ocean and a Far East Specialist. Jessica's next move was to an Independent Travel Agency where she studied to be an Australian Specialist. Other areas of her expertise are the USA particularly Orlando (where she can lead a tour whilst blindfolded!), Canada, China and the Far East, Morocco and Egypt. Currently Jessica is studying to become a Japanese Specialist and New Zealand Specialist. A further area of Jessica's passion is cruising as she take 2 cruises every year. Other areas of experience include, driving to Spain through France. She does have knowledge of Europe . She really enjoys designing tailor made holidays. Jessica's personal holiday preference is an adventure holidays but to still be able to relax in comfort at the end of the day. |
